A fast moving train and competing priorities

It's been a minute - over a month - since I've posted. Not because things have stalled... in fact, quite the opposite. The PhD is coming at me fast, in a good way (I think) and I'm still working to balance the priorities of raising two, not shit-head kids (at least to the best of my ability), run a successful curriculum, research, continuing education, and a PhD program that has a lot of exciting opportunities.

Additionally, I found out that I get to go to AMEE this year, which is in Vienna. That's also really exciting, but requires a lot of planning ahead - especially as it's right around Charlie's birthday.

I knew that this was going to be a challenging experience and honestly, I think I expected it to be more challenging. I also anticipate it will get more challenging but I'm also growing more in ways that feel liek they are helping - like managing my ADHD, setting up routines and time management strategies, and leaning more deeply into developing the work ethic.

That is not to say that I didn't a solid work ethic before - it's just that, in all honesty, nothing I had ever undertaken really required that much work. So, for the next bit of time - that's my growing edge - plus, the new knowledge that I gathering - taking stats, (re)learning German, understanding how research works - it's more input from outside my comfort zone than I'm used to and I'm pretty sure that's a good thing.

I should probably figure out a better cadence for posting but here we are. I met with my sponsor this past week a couple of times in an attempt to start to really refine what my research will entail.
