What do you want to be known for?

I should probably figure out a better cadence for posting but here we are. I met with my sponsor this past week a couple of times in an attempt to start to really refine what my research will entail. Per usual, my brain moves in a million differet directions and the challenge for me is finding the things that will hang together in a dissertation well. Preparing for the beginning...

Today is the first seminar of my program. We had some work to do to prepare for the session so it feels like it's already started. My partner for the first assignment, Joe, is great. I'm really excited to meet everyone else. As I was telling my program sponsor, I've moved beyond the nervousness into the excitement/anticipation space. I, generally, as a human, love meeting new people and meeting Joe really affirmed that this group of people are likely to be some of the best. I

I should introduce myself here in case anyone stumbles upon this space. I'm Kaytlin. I'm 37 years old and I'm getting ready to embark upon a new challenge: earning a PhD in Health Professions Education. The program I'm in is a joint endeavor between Utrecht University in the Netherlands and UCSF here in the States. I don't live in either of those places and will be completing the program remotely - though I'll visit San Francisco and the Netherlands at some point throughout t
